Sam joined The Plane Tree, feeling nervous about meeting new people and trying new tasks. At first, they preferred working quietly behind the scenes, helping with stock and tidying shelves.

Skills they’ve developed

Over time, Sam has learned:

  • Customer service and communication

  • Handling money at the till

  • Organising stock and displays

  • Time management and teamwork

What they enjoy most

Sam now loves greeting customers and helping them choose gifts. They especially enjoy setting up creative product displays in the shop window.
