Textile artist Sarah Cooke will teach you the ancient craft of tapestry weaving. This craft can be given a contemporary twist. Designs can be intricate or bold, modern or traditional. During this one day course, you will create a tapestry weaving with a simple design or picture and you will leave with the skills and techniques to do more. Sarah uses a variety of techniques in her work including plain weave, basket weave, twining, soumack, pick and pick and more. Suitable for beginners or for those who already enjoy textiles and want to develop their skills further.
